The key is to make the call sound like an introduction to a useful local resource—not a telemarketing pitch.
Creative Interiors: Cold-Calling Scripts
1. The universal opening script
Use this when calling an architect, interior designer, facilities director, or office manager.
Hi, is this [Contact Name]?
Hi [Name], this is [Name] calling from Creative Interiors.
We're a local company that helps businesses, healthcare facilities, and commercial spaces transform their environments with artwork, environmental graphics, signage, and custom displays.
I'm reaching out because we'd love to introduce ourselves and show you some of the things we produce. We have physical samples of our materials, finishes, signage, and graphics, and we'd be happy to arrange a brief visit with one of our representatives.
Would you be open to having someone stop by for 15–20 minutes to introduce our work and leave you with some samples?
The most important part: after asking the question, let them respond. Don't keep talking to fill the silence.
2. Tailor the pitch to the person you are calling
A. Architects
Goal: Become a trusted resource for specifications and projects.
Hi [Name], this is [Name] from Creative Interiors.
We work with commercial environments, helping bring spaces to life through architectural signage, environmental graphics, custom displays, and artwork.
We're looking to connect with local architecture firms and introduce the materials, finishes, and fabrication capabilities we can bring to a project.
Would you be available for a brief introduction? One of our representatives could stop by with a sample kit so your team can see the materials and possibilities firsthand.
B. Interior designers and design firms
Goal: Get them excited about materials, artwork, and custom design options.
Hi [Name], this is [Name] with Creative Interiors.
I'm reaching out because we work with designers on artwork, custom graphics, signage, and displays for commercial interiors.
We have some great physical samples and material options that we'd love to bring by and share with your team. We can also help when a project calls for something custom that is difficult to source.
Would next week be a good time for our representative to stop by for about 15 minutes and introduce what we do?
C. Healthcare facilities and facilities management
Goal: Open the door to signage, wayfinding, artwork, and facility improvement projects.
Hi [Name], this is [Name] calling from Creative Interiors.
We help healthcare and commercial facilities improve their spaces with interior signage, wayfinding, artwork, wall graphics, donor recognition, and custom displays.
I'd love to introduce our company and arrange for a representative to bring samples of the types of solutions we manufacture.
Who would be the best person on your team to speak with about signage, artwork, or interior improvement projects?
3. When the receptionist answers
You will often need to get past a gatekeeper. The goal is to find the correct contact without sounding pushy.
Hi, this is [Name] with Creative Interiors.
We're a local environmental graphics and signage company. We work with commercial spaces on artwork, interior graphics, signage, and custom displays.
I'm hoping to introduce our capabilities to the right person at your organization.
Would that typically be someone in facilities, interior design, or purchasing?
If they give you a name, you should ask for the person's direct email and phone number, if available, and record them in Monday.com.
4. Responses to common objections
“We already have a vendor.”
Absolutely, and we're not necessarily looking to replace anyone. We'd simply like to introduce ourselves as another resource for custom projects, additional capacity, or situations where you need something a little different. Would a quick introduction be worthwhile?
“Just send me an email.”
Of course! I'd be happy to. So I send you something relevant, are you more involved with signage and wayfinding, artwork, environmental graphics, or a combination of those?
Then:
Perfect. I'll send over a brief introduction. Would it be all right if I followed up next week to see whether it makes sense to bring some samples by?
“We don't have any projects right now.”
I understand. That's actually a great reason for us to introduce ourselves before something comes up. That way, you'll know who we are when a project needs artwork, signage, graphics, or custom displays. Would a quick introductory visit sometime in the next couple of weeks work?
“I'm too busy.”
I completely understand. We can keep it very brief. Would it be easier if I sent you a short email first and then checked back at a better time?
“What exactly do you do?”
We help businesses and institutions improve their physical spaces with artwork, wall and environmental graphics, interior signage, wayfinding, donor walls, and custom displays. We also fabricate many of these products ourselves, so we can offer custom solutions. Our representative would bring samples to show you the materials and quality in person.
5. Voicemail script
Hi [Name], this is [Name] calling from Creative Interiors.
We help commercial and healthcare spaces with artwork, signage, environmental graphics, and custom displays.
I'd love to arrange a brief introduction and have one of our representatives bring some samples by to show you what we can do.
You can reach me at [570-299-7580]. Again, this is [Name] with Creative Interiors at [570-299-7580].
Thank you, and have a great day.
6. How you should close every successful call
The objective is to get an appointment on the calendar, not just permission to send information.
Great! Let's find a convenient time. We can have our representative bring a selection of samples and spend about 15–20 minutes introducing our capabilities.
Would Tuesday or Thursday work better for you?
If they agree, you should confirm the date, time, location, contact information, and what the prospect is most interested in seeing. You should then put the appointment on your calendar and update Monday.com.
7. The daily system
Activity Initial daily target
New outbound calls 25–40
Live conversations 5–10
Follow-up emails 5–10
Qualified meetings booked 1
Monday.com records updated 100%
These are starting targets, not guaranteed results. Review them after two weeks and adjust based on actual call volume, contact rates, and meetings booked.
One strategic recommendation: Prioritize three lists in this order:
1. Interior designers and architects — potential recurring specification and project referrals.
2. Hospitals and healthcare facilities — artwork programs, wayfinding, donor walls, and ongoing signage needs.
3. Corporate facilities and manufacturing companies — workplace graphics, branding, signage, and displays.
Every call should end in one of four outcomes: a meeting booked, a follow-up scheduled, an email requested, or a clear disqualification.
